Kinesiology

Kinesiology means 'the study of movement'.

Kinesiology is a non-invasive therapy that uses muscle testing (biofeedback) to indicate the stresses or blockages in the body that are causing ‘imbalances’ on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level thereby manifesting as dis-ease in the body.

Kinesiology aims to bring the body back into balance by identifying and using various techniques to correct the stress patterns held within the body and the energetic field, thus relieving these imbalances.

The end goal is to treat the cause and get down to the root of the problem.

If you are experiencing any of the following, you could benefit from a kinesiology session:

Persistent Pain: If you have been dealing with persistent pain in your muscles or joints that doesn’t seem to go away despite rest and basic treatment, by assessing the movement patterns the root cause of the pain can be identified and corrected.

Limited Range of Motion: Are you finding it difficult to move certain parts of your body as freely as you used to? A limited range of motion can indicate underlying issues with muscle strength, flexibility, or joint mobility. An assessment will pinpoint the areas of weakness or tightness which can be released.

Recurring Injuries: Have you experienced the same injury multiple times, or do you find yourself frequently getting injured during physical activities? This could be a sign of improper movement patterns or muscle imbalances, by identifying and correcting these issues you can reduce your risk of future injuries.

Preparing for Physical Activity: Whether you are training for a marathon, starting a new fitness routine, or returning to sports after an injury, seeing a kinesiologist can help ensure that your body is ready for the physical demands ahead.

Post-Surgery Rehabilitation: If you have recently undergone surgery or are planning to have surgery, working with a kinesiologist can aid in your recovery process by helping to restore strength and function in the affected area, helping you regain mobility and return to normal activities sooner.
