Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a type of mind-body intervention that uses hypnosis to induce focused attention and high suggestibility in the treatment of a medical or psychological disorder or anxiety.
As a therapeutic intervention, it uses the hypnotic state, a very natural state we all experience daily. This wonderful natural state creates this high degree of awareness helping you to focus more on the problem you want to resolve.
Hypnosis helps you tap into your inherent power. It increases focus, concentration and the ability to relax and recharge quickly.
Everyone can be hypnotised, anyone who is able and willing to follow instructions can be hypnotised. You cannot be hypnotised against your will because hypnosis is a consensual state.
Hypnosis is not sleep or relaxation, you are in a focused yet relaxed awareness, harnessing the subconscious mind – which is highly receptive to POSITIVE suggestion. To gain insight you’ll be conscious and alert throughout the session.
Hypnosis is not a feeling – it’s a state of mind. Some people feel light, like they’re floating; some feel grounded and safe like a tree; others feeling nothing at all or a light buzzing feeling. They’re all correct – and it’s different for everyone.
Hypnosis works fast. Just as our brain can quickly learn a phobia (learnt fear), our brain can also learn a new response to an old situation very quickly.
Hypnotherapy can help with nearly every issue, addressing our negative emotions especially in our relationships, pushing them away by over-eating, smoking or alcohol, confidence and many other addictive behaviours we want to change and find difficult to do so.

- when having a medical procedure for example going to the dentist.
- helpful when dealing with exams or sports performance.
During your session, as a facilitator I guide you into a very relaxed state of trance. While you enter this trance-like state it helps you focus on your thoughts, responding more readily to suggestions you have chosen to make the changes you want.
You are always in control during hypnosis. I serve only as a guide, working with you to understand your needs and goals and provide you with the tools to transform and enhance your life.
